Sounds like a bad burn. Double check the md5sum on the ISO image you downloaded and burn a new CD at a lower speed. If you have a different batch of blank disks it might be worth using one of those too. |

I tried again with low speed burn (8x), but I still have the same problem. installation stops suddenly, after 30 seconds. it looks like the md5 checksum is a total different, I downloaded the iso from planet mirror, could it be a bad iso? The Checksum on the CD is: E223C904FD88E29780A887209791E661 And I think it should be: 38970f66ec2c8e29467da02c70dae55f need help, the CDs I use to burn are usually good... greetings, mighty. |

Did you check the sum for the ISO image before burning it? |

Um, Planet Mirror only shows R4s, look for R5C7 which is the lastest release. If you go to ftp://ftp.knoppmyth.net/. under the directories /R5/R5C7 you can get the current release and the MD5. Also if you would like to share your bandwidth you can go to the downloads page and use the torrent link. |

If you are buring with K3B it will automatically compare the checksums before burning. And to me, it sounds like your download is bad. Redownload again, compare the checksums with the KnoppyMyth site, if they match, you should get a good burn. |

Like I posted before, he said he got the ISO from Planet Mirror, which the link on the DL page goes to R4 ISOs. Even if he got the ISO without errors he would need to use the correct MD5 to make sure the image was correct. Either way he should pick another source for the image since Planet Mirror seems to have fallen behind on the ISO mirroring. |

Okay, thanks all. I think i use BitTorrent, because it checks the download itself! ![]() Thanks for help, greetings mighty. |
