| Post subject: | Latest Mythtv Live CD Locks up durning setup /etc/fstab |
Hi everyone I'm excited about Mythtv, especially this cool project with the Live Knoppix CD. I was excited when it started to boot the linux kernel, but when it gets to reading my Partiion Talbe and setting up /etc/fstab is just locks up. I've tried it in expert mode, run level 2 mode, pretty much all the modes.. What could be the problem?? tia magnetic |

Are those two 40gb drives in some sort of raid format? If they are that could have something to do with it. Another thing is that the cd your burned might be bad. I know that when I burn cd-rw media with my NEC dvd/cd burner I can only read them successfully in that drive but if I burn a regular cdr they work in other machines. I think it has something to do with the firmware I have on the drive but works for everything else. |

KnoppMyth is not a live MythTV CD. KnoppMyth is not a live Knoppix CD. You cannot use the CD as a frontend without a working backend. Try booting with the noscsi option. |
