I am currently living in Knoppmyth hell.... I had it all setup and running and life was wonderful then i upgraded my mobo and etc... and nothing but trouble. Have done a clean install but the following are my problems...

Alsa wont configure my onboared soundcard, which is on a VIA 8235 southbriidge..... cant open the mixer cant do damn near anything with it. Have modprobed the snd_via_82xx and it seemed to go with no issues but the mixer still couldnt open the sound device. It is definitely enabled in the bios also.

I cant change channel. Saa7134 chipset, which worked fine on my last installation know crashes on channel change. WHY?? I have copied the db from previous installation so mothing should have changed...

Any help would be appreciated
