Does anyone have a wintv go plus card working with knoppixmyth. I have the system installed on my computer but for some reason I don't thing that myth- estup is recognising my card. I am using the v4l drivers and when I try to scan for channels a error message comes up saying that It can't open the card. I try in both video sources and channel editor. But I notice that even in capture card when I am installing the drivers the card never comes up. I wondering if my tv card will work with knoppmyth.

yes it works, but it does put quite a load on the cpu so I switched to a pvr-150

Please if you dont mind can you tell what you did to get the card to work. I will eventally buy the pvr150 card. But I kind of feel i waste my money on wintv go plus and for that reason I would like to get some value from it. Plus I did dedicate a whole computer to knoppthmyth for the sole purpose of recording and saving my favorite shows. While I work my second job to gather the money for the pvr150 card .

It was quite some time ago but I don't remember anything special it needed to work, although I think I had to try a couple different pci slots.

I took that wintv go plus back and got my money back. I will go next week and get wintv pvr 150 . Hope i have better luck with that card.

I have two Myth Boxes and both use WinTV Go plus cards.

One motherboard has a P4 Intel chipset and the other has as P4 SIS chipset.

I didn't have to do anything special, they were detected with no problems.
