Used the Debian Synaptic Package; I think the update had errors because myth was open.

How do you stop all MythTV services (most of them load on boot). I'm expecting something like

# mythbackend stop
# mythfrontend stop
# sql stop

Of course, with my luck, these are all invalid. Was able to find the stop and start for other distros, but not for debian.

What version of KnoppMyth are you running?


Short answer though, is this.

If you were running R5D1 and you used Cecils intructions (TO THE LETTER) on the first page of this post:

Then you shouldn't have had any problems.

The fact that you mention aptitude indicates to the contrary though and in that case, you hosed yourself pretty good.
