I'm installing knoppmyth for the first time, I'm somewhat familiar with Linux.

Anyway, The autoinstall seems to work, but after the reboot I get to the configuration part. I can't find a HOWTO document that tells me exactly what I should do here. Add video, video source, etc.. I think I'm doing it right.. but it would help if I could see a document that tells me what should happen..

Here is my hardware
AMD Athlon 1000
1 Gb SDRAM (1 512, 2 256 sticks)
MSI KT7 Turbo MB
1 WD 250 Gb PATA HD
2 Seagate 120 Gb PATA HD's
Haupauge PVR 150
On Board Sound
add in Ethernet Card
I'll be watching TV through the monitor for the time being.
OLD Phillips 14" CRT monitor.

Note: When I've used knoppix in the past I have to set my resolution and refresh rate before starting (800x600 xvrefresh=60 something like that).. How do I do that with Knoppmyth??

I know I'm not being specific with what my problem is.. , I'm at work now and I was trying to install late last night.

Which version?

The only thing I am aware of is the KM Pamphlet http://mysettopbox.tv/pamphlet.html or the HowTo section on the Wiki http://knoppmythwiki.org/. Keep in mind that most things posted will be dated material to some extent - They are works-in-progress, so some things you find may not apply to your version (or to any version, for that matter).

That's handled in the XF86Config-4/Xorg.conf (depends on the version) file after installation.

I guess we'll get to those specifics in your next post then
