After installing Knoppmyth will I be able to add a pci sata card later?

I will install to a IDE HDD but want to add storage via sata. So will I get a headache or not?

I don't see why not, so long as there is Linux support for it. I use the SATAII150 TX4 from Promise - Never had any problems with them. I believe they have been replaced by the SATA300 TX4.

I've got two SIL3114 SATA cards in a debian server, and they work fine, so they should be good in KnoppMyth.
