| Post subject: | Video playback too quiet |
Hi, Im using mplayer for my video playback from within mythtv. The problem is that the video is always too quiet, even when i ramp up the volume on my TV it is at a 'normal' level. If im listening to music from with mythtv then that is loud, but the videos never are. What could be causing this to happen. Would be grateful for any help as when i swtich back to my normal TV/PS2 i end up with my eyes watering from the rather loud volume. Many thanks Rob |

Do you have the volume level in Mplayer itself set down too low? |

In a terminal window try Code: alsamixer To save your settings: Code: sudo alsactl store
BTW: I run stuff at 97% with no problems. |
