| Post subject: | Software to Image Backup my KnoppMyth Machine |
Now that I have things pretty well configured, I certainly do NOT want to go through the process of setting up this box from scratch again. Any recommendations on good linux software that I can use to image backup my machine to DVD? The only similar thread I saw was here but I haven't seen any responses as of yet. |

1) Using the system backup script is a good start. Unless you've done a lot of customization it should cover 95% of the settings related stuff. 2) See the HOWTOs on the wiki. Say something like this page... http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... erverToDvd BTW - I normally consider an hour plenty of time to allow for an upgrade and possible rollback. Granted I've done a lot of them, keep notes, and reflexively script my personal tweaks, but it's supposed to be easy. |

Thanks! Normally the wikis are my first stop for finding my solution. For some reason, I completely bypassed it when I posted. (I'll be sure not to make that mistake again) The BackupEntireServerToDvd will work perfectly. Thanks! |
