When performing an auto-upgrade, the Frozen Bubble game appears to have disappeared. Is R5F27 missing this game? How would I go about re-installing it? |

That was one of the first things I fixed when I installed To install the necessary files as root execute; Code: apt-get install frozen-bubble
I also added --fullscreen to the Game Player under the Setup menus. |

Post subject: | when removed? |
I wonder what version this was removed in? I didn't have it in R5F1 either. Does Frozen Bubble come as part of the mythtv core files that are downloaded from the mythtv.org site? Or was it added by Cecil at some point in Knoppmyth history? |

Nah, Frozen Bubble is an addon (that was) incorporated into the Knoppmyth distro. Not sure when it was removed, oversight perhaps? |

If I use apt-get to go get Frozen Bubble, Code: apt-get install frozen-bubble
will the link to Frozen Bubble in the Knoppmyth menus be valid and launch it ok? |

Yep, but I also added --fullscreen to the Game Player under the Setup menus. |

Which box do you put the "--fullscreen" into? I'm looking in the following screen: Setup>Setup>Media Settings>Game Settings>Game Players>Frozen Bubble (PC) Do you put it in the command box, after the text "/usr/games/frozen-bubble"? Thanks for clarification. Eric |

neutron68 I know you don't need all of this but I figured I would make this a general information dump for the greater good of KM. >>Utilities / Setup>>Setup>>Media Settings>>Game Players Choose >> (new game player) <if not previously set up>. Player Name: Frozen Bubble Type: PC GAME Command: /usr/games/frozen-bubble --fullscreen Rom Path: ScreenShotts: /myth/games/pc/screens/Frozen-Bubble2.jpg Working Directory: File Extensions: (box unchecked) Allow games to span multiple roms/disks To add the eye candy in the MythGame menus, put your screen shotts .jpg for the PC games in /myth/games/pc/screens/ I have two different screen shotts for Frozen Bubble and others. If anybody want them PM me with your email address. Two other games that work good are Extreme Tux Racer and Pingus. I installed them all with Synaptic Package Manager TVBox |

Hi, I forget exactly when bubbles were let off the iso but it was do to space for the other features more related to basic KM. It was mentioned somewhere that the iso was getting too large for a cd so to keep it at cd size, some things had to remain behind for the "better of the many" If you have little ones, childsplay is quite good also, be sure to get the addon also as it offers many additional educational features.
