Post subject:  Install For Pvr
Im Gonna use ubuntu ultimate,its got the front and backend installed already,I hear the kernel has the drivers already,so it sounds like all i,ll have to do is setup?My question is:I basically use my card for a pvr.I" Y" in @ The Cable "out" to The tv cable,so all i use is channel 3.Will I Still use the regular setup guide or should i deviate anywhere?I would Like To Check Out The Weather Plugin To Maybe Others?

Hardware:Biostar M7NCD ULTRA
Socket A 3200+CPU
1 Gig XMS Corsair Ram
2 250 Gig Sata 1 Hardrives
Any Help @ All Would Be Greatly Appreciated,Ive Messed With Linux A Bit But Im Still Terminal Shy!

Well, other than being a linux distro that is NOT Knoppmyth. ;)

If you are using a version of Ubuntu, I would suggest either the Ubuntu forums (since they are more familiar with the Ubuntu customizations) or the MythTV website here for assistance.

Of course, folks here are likely to help where we can anyway, but the main focus here is on KnoppMyth, which is a linux distro of its own for the purpose of making setting up a MythTV system as easy as possible.

You might want to try KnoppMyth out- and I know it runs on that motherboard because I have done it myself. :)
