I am currently having issues with playing mkv files, The audio seems to clip/stutter when playing via Xine, but the video is excellent. I cannot get mplayer to work at all, seems like the path is not being recognized? When i play the file with the internal player the audio is fine but the video is stuttering.

i do not have a Digital output to my amp, damn home theatre POS, so it will be output just via the Analog device.

Any ideas or help would be great.

I'm having the same issue; but It's the only mkv I have, so I don't know how widespread the problem is. You wouldn't be watching Torchwood, would you?

I'm having the same problem with xine.

Also, only with MKV x264 hdtv files every so often green will start to creep across from the left usually. It is bright green. This may be due to the bad memory i'm using (probably) and that will be replaced in a few days so i'll see if that clears it up.

I had a problem with this too. However, when testing one of Cecil's recent test releases for 5.5, the problem was not there. Also gone was the jerky picture.

He's hinted there will be a new version soon. I'll just be waiting for the upgrade, rather than mucking about with it now.

Mike
