Post subject: | geforce 6200 tc latest drivers |
It has been years since I updated the drivers on my mythbox. I have recently performed an upgrade to fix some issues. What is the best nvidia driver these days for the geforce 6200. I am planning on using my plasma at 720p or 1080i. rkshack |

The default drivers in R5F27 work fine with my 5500, 6150 (onboard) and 6200 chipsets. What problem(s) are you having? |

I get the black screen when x should come up. I thought I might have the wrong driver. Which one are you using? rkshack |

I get this on the xorg log: PANASONIC-TV (DFP-0)'s EDID does not contain a maximum image (WW) NVIDIA(0): size; cannot compute DPI from PANASONIC-TV (DFP-0)'s (WW) NVIDIA(0): EDID. (==) NVIDIA(0): DPI set to (75, 75); computed from built-in default I don't know if that is signficant. Here is the monitor section of my xorg.conf Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor0" Option "DPMS" "true" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP" # Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,DFP" VendorName "MEI" ModelName "MEIa035" # HorizSync 28.0 - 78.0 # Warning: This may fry very old Monitors HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9 VertRefresh 59.9 - 60.1 # DDC-probed # Option "TVStandard" "HD720p" # Timing", version 1.0, revision 0.8, adopted September 17, 1998. # $XFree86: xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/etc/vesamodes,v 1.4 1999/11$ # ModeLine "1920x1080" 74.250 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1094 1125 int$ ModeLIne "1280x720" 74.250 1280 1390 1430 1650 720 725 730 750 +hsync +$ Anything other information which would be useful just let me know.
