![]() My ex has a Samsung, and the problem definitely lies with the TV, not the media centre. Mine is also a problem (Panasonic). Additionally, xorg.conf overscan corrections don't have any effect on the HDMI signal. Why do you think it's specifically Nvidia? Try using the VGA connection. I get no overscan on mine with VGA input. Only problems are with the HDMI input. Mike |

What manicmike said. Also check your TV setup for something along the lines of "justscan" or "1 to 1 pixel mapping" (dependent on the input you are using). |

Also, El1iP3S01D, does that mean you got 1080i working (never heard back in your other thread)? My LG HDTV had no overscan via VGA. It had it over HDMI but a "PC" setting fixed that. |

Thank you for replying, I finally have 1080i resolution. The problem that remains is the Overscan problem which is worse than Windows XP 64 bit. The Questions remains how do we fix this? ![]() |

Well, first off, I would recommend changing your X settings down to 1280x720 (since that's the native resolution of your TV) rather than 1920x1080i and see if that helps. Second, check your manual, any "1 to 1" or "PC" setting will be present there, IF it is present. I got the manual for your TV from Samsung's site. I don't see anything offhand about it but I didn't look closely. I did a search for your model number and "overscan." This thread is the top result on Google! ![]() http://tinyurl.com/499dyc (keep reading down from the message this links to) I get my cables from Monoprice. |
