Slightly OT as not directly KnoppMyth related... Yesterday my KnoppMyth box crashed while I was transferring some files. But I know it's hardware related because the exact same problem happened when I used to run WinXP in the same machine. I'd like to know if others have had the same problems. It looks like the Northbridge is overheating and causes the crash. Running the computer with the case open makes the crashing occur less frequently, but still happens if I have some very CPU and/or HDD-intense tasks going on. The mobo/cpu is a VIA Epia M 933Mhz, running in a Cubid 2699r case, with a 45GB HDD and 256 MB of RAM. |
