I can get through the rest of setup except for ATSC card scan. When the Air2PC cards complete scan the page freezes. I can ctrl+alt+F5 to new terminal, but mythtv-setup is frozen at ATSC scan. reboot restarts Knoppmyth setup. |

In your reply you said see; V5.5 Hints #3.1. "3) MythTV issues: There are a number of upstream bugs with the MythTV application which are beyond our control. 3.1) On rare occasions doing a channel scan with certain HDTV capture devices (HDHomeRun, pcHD-2000 and pcHD-3000, ...) can cause mythtv-setup to lockup or crash. " Would it be possible to have an earlier version in the of MythTV in the install disk then do a "apt-get upgrade mythtv" after the mythtv-setup completes ATSC scanning. Or would it be better to put the mythtv package from R5F27 on the hard disk after install to do the scanning then go back the newer mythtv package after scanning. Any suggestions or insight is greatly appreciated. |
