Ok, please forgive me for being a total noob, since I haven't messed with Unix/Linux since college (eek has it really been 11 years?). I got the Knoppmyth distro installed and it is working out great. I wanted to add some music to the mix. I already have a Windows 2k server running that is sharing about 17GB of .mp3's and would like to know how to access that directory with my mythTV system. I know that it requires SAMBA but all the documentation I've found seems to require a lot bigger understanding of Linux than I have. I'm not completely incompetent, I have been doing PC repair for 11 years now but that’s been completely M$ Windows based. I also have a good understanding of networking as well but these howto's are taking assumptions that I already know what they are talking about in Linux. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good resource that gives a step by step install using Knoppix or better yet Knoppmyth since I’m not sure what packages it installed on the automatic install.
