suggests changing the 'default video player' to /usr/local/bin/mythvodka_player.sh %s
if you have symptoms where mythvodka attempts to start to play a stream and then returns to the program selection screen. alas, i seem to suffer from the buffering problem that the mythvodka_player.sh script attempts to correct.

there are only 8 settings on the mythvodka screen, and the best i can guess, the setting that should be changed is the "Mencoder" setting. none of the other settings seem to be close to a 'default video player' setting

however, when i change this setting, the mythvodkaplayer.sh script does not seem to be called. i have added code to create a file in /tmp if the script is run and also commented out the log removal command. doing so seems to confirm that the script is not being called.

has anyone successfully changed the mythvodka settings to use the bythvodka_player.sh script?
