Post subject: | Myth not tuning SBS with HDHomerun DVB-T |
Hi All, I thought this warranted a differnet thread to my other one started a few days back.... I now have a HDHomerun which is working fine in Mythtv for all channels EXCEPT SBS. Mythtv-setup just does not tune/recognise SBS at all... my previous PCI tuners have had no problem with this channel. I have installed the hdhomerun_config_gui application on R6, and can use that application to tune SBS, no problems..... So, it appears as though the mythtv-setup scanning is failing to fine SBS.. but only failing to find SBS on the hdhomerun, as it finds SBS on the PCI cards... Anyone have any idea where to start on that? Cheers, Nathan |

Just incase anyone is out there with an eye for this... running scan in mythtv-setup, shows the following error.. Quote: 2009-07-16 11:59:56.552 HDHRChan(12109f6e/0), Error: DeviceSet(/tuner0/channel qam64:536625000): ERROR: invalid channel The freqency is the SBS frequency in Perth, so somehome the mythtv-setup scanner is barfing on the SBS scan, something about an incorrect channel... Ideas?[/quote] |

Ok, incase someone else finds this thread... things I have done to make the hdhomerun work in my KM R6 1) either added/updated the dtv_multiplex table to have 801 channel for SBS, although, i'm not convinced this did very much (see the next point) 2) changed the multiplex to auto for the SBS entry in the dtv_multiplex 3) increased the scan timeout settings one each tuner in mythtv-setup 4) changed the "quick tuning" to "always" on input connections for both cards (solved a zero length recording file issue) 5) unselected the "always stream recordings from backend" in mythtv setup 6) updated the firmware of the hdhomerun 7) recompiled libhdhomerun/hdhomerun_config_gui from silicondust homepage ![]() One (or all) of htese settings made the difference... I know have livetv, recordings from my hdhomerun.... Lovely! Nathan |

For me in Sydney, it was the wrong transportid in the dtv_multiplex table that caused the problem. Changing it from 768 to 801 did the trick. Most annoying thing is that a scan from an empty database on 0.21-fixes crashed, and on SVN trunk didn't find SBS. |
