OK here is where I am at (keep in mind I am a newbie to Linux). I installed Myth i686 told it I can support XvMC and I have a remote. Setup all of my hardware got my program guide. I installed the Nvidia drivers and then everything looks good. DVD's play, CD's play, the only thing that doesn't play correctly is the audio from my Tuner card (PVR250). I haven't even tried to tackle the TV-Out problem yet becuase I want to get it running just right with the monitor first.

I have read that I need to turn up the alsamixer but I have no clue what that is and it seems everyone who has had this issue has to turn up the alsamixer but nobody tells them how or what the alsamixer is.

Any help would be appreciated. I have searched and searched and have decided the help would be the only way to get this working. I have many other questions about programming remote buttons to do certain tasks but for right now I just want to get it to work.

Quote:
Code:
cd /usr/src

# The ivtv compile needs the src files.
Code:
tar xvfj linux-2.4.25-chw.tar.bz2

Code:
cd /usr/local/lib/ivtv/driver

Code:
make clean

# I suppose I could have used 'make install' but I was testing
# and didn't want to add to my problems.
Code:
make

Code:
cp msp3400.o /lib/modules/2.4.25-chw/kernel/drivers/media/video/

# And answer yes to overwrite the existing file.

# Then, if you don't like extra files just lying around:
cd /usr/src
rm -rfd linux-2.4.25-chw
# to delete the source files previously extracted.

I copied and pasted this.. also please cut the Attitude alittle, youll get more help. i almost didnt respond since your last post seemed impolite, however its possible it just came out wrong..
