| Post subject: | R8.4.2 Frontend Install Fails to Complete |
 I am a long time MythTV user, new to LinHES. I installed a fresh R8.4.2 Myth backend server. Worked great, easiest time I had with any distro, thank you! I am now installing a frontend only and it never gets me to the MythTV frontend after the reboot & removal of the dvd. It starts, boots, and shows connection to the backend on the splash screen. Then the hard drive led stays constant on and it runs for 30 minutes with no change. FYI: I am able to boot and start mythfrontend from the DVD.

Check the logs (/var/log/DATE/HOSTNAME_mythfrontend.log) or open and xterm (Alt+X) and type mythfrontend and see if there is an error. |
