Post subject:  Shuttle FN41G

Hi everyone,

i have a shuttle fn41g case & mobo with an amd xp 2100 chip pc3200 25gMb ram and 60gb hd...i know i need to buy a tv tuner im thinking about the happague 350....

would i have any hardware issues with this setup?

This isn't really an installation question but...

If you meant SN41G2, I have a PVR350 in one and it works fine. Maybe runs a little hot and the fan whirs a little more, but it works fine. 60GB isn't a very big HD anymore, though, especially with MPEG2 files.

If it is the SN41G and not the G2, I think it has the dreaded VIA chipset, not nForce2. It could be more problematic. I'd be careful with that VIA chipset.

The SK41G was indeed a Via-based motherboard... the SN41G2 is nForce2 based, so I guess it depends on what he really has. Not sure there ever was an SN41G.

I have the SK41G(VIA) box, I did a BIOS update, and bumped the RAM up to 768MB and I dont seem to have the issue where recordings stop recording while watching a recording.
