It looks like I need to change the kernel HZ value to 1024 in /usr/linux/include/asm-i386/param.h from 100.

I tried this earlier, and received keyboard blinking lights when Knoppmyth tried to do module stuff on boot.

This is what I did...

make
make modules
make modules-install

moving vmlinux to boot and setting up the links seemd to occur for me automagically.

I ran lilo and reboot.

Before I do this again, is this the right way? Do I need to recompile my NVidia and IRBlaster drivers as well?
