I have been fighting to get IR control over my cable box for the last week and a half to no avail. Unfortunately, Motorola decided not to put serial control on their HD boxes, so i am forced to use IR.

I have a serial IR out set up, but cannot find the appropriate codes anywhere. Is anyone using this converter box?

can't you just record them from the remote?

i don't have an IR input other than the one that came with the PVR 250. That one doesn't seem to want to recognize it.

I will also take suggestions on how to make the Hauppage IR sensor work to read the signal.
