Post subject: | $25 PayPal Reward |
I'm not a starving artist or struggling student and since I've spent the last 2-3 weeks trying to problem-solve my installation, I've decided to throw my hands up and offer a reward for whomever can get my system running. I've researched this forum and the KnoppMythWiki and can't find this problem. I do get to the MythTv gui. Problem: KnoppMyth appears to load and find the PVR-350 card I have during startup. It finds the MPEG-2 card. However, during MythTv setup, under "Capture Card Setup" -> "Card Type" there is no option to select the MPEG-2. Just the "4VL" (or text close to that). ![]() I am getting an error with sound with KnoppMyth loads - "error loading aumix". Followed the install suggestion of running 'alsa_init' but no luck. I also get the infamous "MythTv backend server not running. Check IP Address?" message, but it appears related to the problem with the video source. Wireless nic, NetGear WG311, is working though. ![]() Hardware: I researched the PVR database and bought hardware according to one of the specs: Intel D865GBF motherboard g-force MX440 Intel P4, 2.4 gh 512 MB RAM 200 GB hard drive All housed in a nice Cool Master Cavalier |

Decided to reinstall KnoppMyth. Took out the SB Live SB0410 card and used the built-in sound and it installed correctly. No error messages. Still can't get the PVR-350 working though. |

search around the forums. you probably have one of the newer pvr350's and will need to upgrade the firmware, and ivtv drivers. there are several threads about this. |
