Attention: I AM A NEEBEE !!! Hello, soory about my poor english. I live in Germany. I have downloaded the ISO of "KnoppMyth R5" Install was OK i have following Hardware: AMD Athlon 700 MHz (SlotA) Asus KV7 (Mainboard) 256 MB RAM ELSA Erazor X (32MB VGA Card) Intel 100 Pro (NIC) TechniSat SkyStar 2 (Hardware rev. 2.6D) with B2C2 ChipsSet Sound Blaster 16 SoundCard with ES1317 ChipSet The SoundCard i must configure via "alsa-setup" at the first boottime the alsa but errors out to the display if i change the config it was OK ! I am new in MythTV. I have some Problems with the Configuration. But i can´t find some TV Channnels ! I tryed the Following Configuration: How must i Configure the DVB (TechniSat SkyStar 2) so scan and find TV Channel´s ? The "skystar2" module is loaded, if ich check this with lsmod. Witch device files i must found in /dev for this DVB Card ? Or must i create some devices files for that card ? If i must create the device files, please tell me how ! Thanks to my friend markus, i tryed my dvb-card on this windows pc (windows xp) the card is OK, it runs under windows !!! Hi Dennis. 1) I am not familiar with that card, but its driver look like they have loaded. You should not need to create anything in /dev, the driver should use /dev/dvb/adapter0/* 2) If the drivers are working correctly, the setup program will list the card type when you add a DVB Capture Card 3) If you are using R5A10, its version of MythTV has an automatic DVB scan function. In the setup program, after you have added your Capture Card and Video Source, you should be able to use the Scan functions in the Channel Editor. |

Yes i am using KnoppMyth R5 Alpha 10 i found a Info that the Module: stv0299 must be loaded ! but i help not 100 % but 50 % in the config is after loading the "stv0299" the info "can´t open card" or somthing, is goning away but the channel scan no not work correctly i can see that found some channels, but at the end the outpot is like you must use: mythfilldatabase --manual but this is not coming to the end .... a loop i think !? |

the kernel 2.6.10 do not help ! i tryed in mythtv-setup the following Point 5, Channel Search i have ASTRA 19..2 EAST 11953000 / 27500000 / H 12551500 / 22000000 / V the program found some tv channels i can recording, but i can watch the tv programs, what do i wrong ? thanks |
