I have an fc3 install and have granted access to mythtv@192.168.1.13 (frontend address). when I run the cd it sets up fine I modify the back-end server ip, username and password and boot to the front end. It gives an error saying it can not connect to the back-end server. I ran mythtv-setup in a terminal window and after it exits it shows something to the effect of mythv access denied. I know the my-sql access works because I can connect with the same ip using dsmyth in windows.

Am I missing something?? Any help is greatly appriciated.

There is no need to run mythtv-setup on a frontend. Your problem maybe that MySQL isn't listening for networking connections. Disabling it should be the same for FC as it is in Debian. This is covered in the pamphlet.
