Using R4V5. PVR350.nVidia video.

Updated nuvexport to allow mpeg2 ---> mpeg2 cut capability. That works fine.

Tried transcodeing to other formats. Have the same problem with them all except Mpeg2 -> Mpeg2 cut.
Nuvexport runs with no errors but no output created by ffmpeg.

typical screen output :

Now encoding: 57 SCIFI: 2005-03-26 22:29:00 (5 min)
Encode started: Sun Mar 27 10:17:48 2005
Waiting for mythtranscode to set up the fifos.
Starting ffmpeg.
processed: 0 of 7860 frames (0.00%), 0.00 fps
ffmpeg finished.
processed: 0 of 7860 frames (0.00%), 0.00 fps
mythtranscode finished.

Encode finished: Sun Mar 27 10:30:22 2005
Encode lasted: 12m 34s

Get lots of disk I/O usage but no output file. Messages seem to indicate no
frames were actually processed.

My searches have not found a similar problem with ffmpeg.

Suggestions welcome

Thanks

i have the same problem with ffmpeg
on 5A16 after "apt-get install ffmpeg" nuvexport looks like this:

    Using ffmpeg for exporting.
What would you like to do?

    1. Export to XviD (disabled)
    2. Export to SVCD
    3. Export to VCD
    4. Export to DVCD (VCD with 48kHz audio for making DVDs)
    5. Export to DVD
    6. Export to DivX (disabled)
    7. Export to ASF (disabled)
    8. Export to MP3 (disabled)
    9. Export to PSP (disabled)
    10. MPEG2->MPEG2 cut only
    11. Export to .nuv and .sql

    q. Quit

    Choose a function:

after reinstalling transcode, some libs, ffmpeg, still no xvid, divx, etc.
i cant find doc, how to reinstall things. specialy the order if it is important. now what?

Thanks

Yes, I'm having basically the same problem. I tried updating both the Transcode and FFMPEG programs using apt-get. It broken my Nuvexport which had been working for xvid encoding. I un-installed them and compiled both programs from CVS source. still no go. I think I'm going to have to re-install Knoppmyth on the system.

I believe that the Transcode and FFMPEG are specilized for knoppmyth release. With out another way to re-install these specialized versions I'm down to re-install.

Same here. I've been searching high and low for a solution.

I'm running release R5A15.1 and didn't have any options enabled except "Export to .nuv and .sql"
I upgraded my ffmpeg and mpeg2dec via the knoppmythwiki here:
http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... thStreamTV

This enabled more options, but I'm getting the same output as saisl;

Searched all folders that I could via Windows Explorer (w/ samba started) and couldn't find my file.

I also tried apt get remove ffmpeg (to try to reinstall) but it says it can't locate any of the files.

I have the same problem with 5A30.2.

Did an apt-get install ffmpeg and now nuvexport looks like:

9. Export to PSP (disabled)
10. MPEG2->MPEG2 cut only (disabled)
11. Export to .nuv and .sql

FFMPEG reborts:

mythtv@mythtv:/usr/local/bin$ ffmpeg -version
ffmpeg version CVS, build 3276800, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard
configuration: --build i486-linux-gnu --enable-gpl --enable-pp --enable-zlib --enable-vorbis --enable-libogg --enable-theora --enable-a52 --enable-dts --enable-dc1394 --enable-libgsm --disable-debug --prefix=/usr
built on Jan 21 2006 18:16:11, gcc: 4.0.3 20060115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.0.2-7)
ffmpeg CVS
libavcodec 3276800
libavformat 3211520

nuvexport

mythtv@mythtv:/usr/local/bin$ nuvexport -version
nuvexport version: 0.2 0.20050922.svn

Any help would be appreciated. I dont know if i should install ffmpeg from source but looks like that is not going to help.

Thanks

I compiled ffmpeg myself using ./configure --enable-mp3lame --enable-xvid --enable-gpl

now I do not have the disabled texts anymore. I have not tried to export yet tho. Have to wait till I get home.
