I just installed KnoppMyth on a computer with two TV tuner cards (both inexpensive) and AverMedia and a WinTV GO. Both cards require that I patch the card's line out to the computer's line in. Anyway, I can't get any audio out of the system. I've tried running alsa but with no luck. I've tried tinkering with other settings, but still no luck. I'm only halfway literate in the use of Linux. (I've been messing with it on and off for years, but I've never become expert with it. For instance, I give up when instructions tell me to recomile the kernel.) The question is, how can I diagnose the lack-of-sound problem? Is there a good troubleshooting guide? Thanks. |

I have only one sound card. I patch one of the video card lineouts to the one and only sound card line in. |

Did you play with aumix and set the capture point to line in? |
