Post subject:  KnoppMyth Installation on Slave Hard Drive?

I have Red Hat Linux 9 on a slave hard drive, i.e. /dev/hdb and would like to install KnoppMyth on that drive. Does anyone have a good installation procedure for installing on a slave hard drive without losing my linux installation?

Thank you for your help,
John

You will have to do a manual install, follow the directions in the pamphlet:

You could also check out the wiki it may have what you are after as well.

I have read the manual install and I am concerned on the partitioning. One article which I read said to delete any existing partitions on the hard drive and noted that this would result in the loss of existing data, i.e. linux os. Then, create the 4 needed partitions on the hard drive. Do you know of a way to do the manual install without deleting the linux operating system?

You don't have to delete anything. Do you have free space (partition) on /dev/hdb?
