Hi all,

I am having problems with mythtv and transcoding. I tried to manually transcode and automatically transcode, but transcode or mythtranscode does nothing. I watch top and/or ps and it doesnt even fire up when I tell mythtv to trancode a show. Are there any error logs for (myth)transcode?? Any help would be great.

This isn't an install problem either... And I'll bet you that Cecil will kill this thread as it deserves for that reason.

How hard is it to read the simple forum descriptions and post in a more appropriate one? Your written english seems OK, and I'm guessing your IQ is normal or better so you don't have the excuse of poor reading comprehesion or stupidity. That leaves laziness or sociopathic tendencies and since I generally like to give folks the benefit of the doubt I'll dscount the later as well. Based on that, let me give you a word of advice, we don't much care for lazy folks around here, and those of us who've put in the time and effort to build a community will get good and annoyed with you as a result.

Oh and BTW, lest you think I'm "being a jerk", I'm old, which makes me a card carrying curmudgeon, thank you very much.
