Error: Lost interupt DMA hdda

Has anyone seen this error? I am useing an old motherboard that I pulled from my system a few years back and I couldn't remember why and I have a feeling that the hard drive controller may be wacked out. I have reinstalled from scratch about 15 times and I get this error at different run levels, once I even got to the point where I finished the install and hit "Live TV" (after configuring everything) but the system hung so I did a Ctr-Alt-F1 and that was the error I had.

My System:

Celeron 1.6
Mother Board (can't remember right now)
Nvidia 5200
PVR 150

Any suggestions? Hdd controler crapped out maybe?

Well I just pulled the FX5200 and tried an old PCI card and it did the same thing so that rules out any connection with the video card/AGP (I think) noobie here so I am kinda lost. I do have a new board on order and it should be here Monday just wondering if anyone has seen this error?

Yea this is what I am going to try, new one should be here Monday, I'll report back :wink:
