I'm trying to upgrade from 4r5. I downloaded the ISO from the site and burned via Nero. I get the boot prompt and type tv <enter>. I starts, and finds the hard drives and dvd burner, but then can't find KNOPPIX and drops me into a shell. I don't get to the prompt to choose what type of install I'd like to do. What am I doing wrong/how do I fix it? -Mike |

try using knoppmyth vga=normal instead of tv. |

Will that work... I don't have a monitor hooked up at all I jut downloaded and tried 15-1.1 and I get the same result... can't find KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry. Dropping you to a (very limited) shell. Is there a way to apt-get to upgrade? Aparently I can't use the CD PS - I load the CD onto my other linux box, and don't see any file system, but it boots the current mythtv box. |

Did you verify MD5Sum after downloading? It maybe a bad burn or Nero burnt it in correctly. |

you must have a bad burn. no there is no way to apt-get upgrade. the changes were just far to extensive. |
