Post subject:  error configuring lirc on R5A12

Hi all:

I'm a newbie trying to get lirc 0.7.0 running with KnoppMyth.

When I try to configure lirc by running ./setup.sh I get the errors:

Code:
checking for getopt_long... yes
checking for mktemp... yes
checking for Linux kernel sources... missing
checking for which drivers can be installed on this system...

etcetera...then a few lines later:
configure error: *** you need to have the Linux kernel sourc installed.
             for this driver

The kernel sources are extracted. I'm running kernel 2.6.9-chw-4 . However, the source extracted is 2.6.9-chw . It is in the directory /kernel-source-2.6.9-chw.

I assume the question is how to tell the setup.sh for lirc that the sources are in the kernel-source-2.6.9-chw folder ? Can someone point me towards how to do this or what else I need to do to fix the problem...

thanks

Post subject:  FIXED: setup lirc error

Hi all:

This error has now been resolved. There is a new problem, but I will post separately about that.

Just a suggestion but maybe you could add some details for the next poor newbie who comes along?
