Post subject:  LIRC and a PVR350 silver issues

mythtv@mythtv:/$ /etc/init.d/lircd start
-sh: /etc/init.d/lircd: No such file or directory


Well I tried as root and as Mythtv users and when I navigate to the above directory I still don't see the files, this is bumming me out I have gotten the new conf files for the PVR350 but after each change I restart and run irw and no output :cry:

Two days now and not much luck

Well now I tried:

cp /usr/sbin/lircd /etc/init.d/lircd


and at least the error about the missing file is gone but no joy yet :roll:

Well making some progress I got the stop and number 5 button to display once but something very interesting it that it lists the HPG grey remote not the silver one hummmm I think I am getting closer :wink:

/etc/init.d/lircd doesn't exist the file is /etc/init.d/lirc. There has been may post about the new remotes and how to get them to work, please search the forum.
