Post subject:  ledxmit-irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE (SOLVED)

I am soo close! If I run mythbackend from the console, I have it set to auto change the channel to 4. Well I get these two errors:
Code:
ledxmit-irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE sat 4
ledxmit-irsend: unknown remote: "sat"

I've tried using several remote codes. I'm trying to control an RCA DirecTV reciever model # DRD420RE with an irBlaster I purchased. I'm confident at least one of the codes I've used is correct because I'm currently using an old remote to my new receiver.

I've checked my change_chan.sh file and receiver NAME and both are correct. I searched through the lirc mailing list with no luck.

Can any one help me with this?

Damn, I'm close.

Thanks,

KnoppMyth R5A15.1

I reninstalled KnoppMyth RA15.1 without smp enabled in my bios. I also used the 'libtoolize --force" followed by 'aclocal' and now my irBlaster works!!

Ussually the receiver name is upper case it seems obvious but I always forget that linux is case sensitive.

When I installed KnoppMyth, it recognized my P4 with hyper-threading and installed smp support. I just ran dmesg | grep ledxmit and this is what I get:

Code:
root@mythtv:/home/mythtv# dmesg | grep ledxmit

This may be the cause of my error. My serial port is setup correctly for COM2. Should I do a reinstall of KnoppMyth after disabling hyper-threading in the BIOS?

Check your /etc/ledxmitd.conf file.

Replace "sat" or "SAT" (whatever you have tried) with the name identifier.

e.g.
Code:
begin remote
   name SONY

...

end remote

You'd use the following for sending button 4:
Code:
/usr/local/lirc-ledxmit/bin/ledxmit-irsend SEND_ONCE SONY 4

Post subject:  LIRC errors

I get the same error messages (on a R5A30.2 versio) which is odd, because I have followed the same instructions on a R5A26 version and it worked perfectly. I also get a "You will have to use the ledxmit_serial kernel module" message when running myth-ledxmit.sh. I do get a myth-ledxmit.WIP directory and all it's files created, but the serial port refuses to work. Has something changed between R5A26 and R5A30.2?

Algenon.
