Post subject:  Installing KnoppMyth R5A16
Hi

I'm new to Linux and have download KnoppMythR5A16.iso and created a boot CD. I boot to it and I don't get the Splashsreen as per the install Instuctions when using a SATA HDD (Using PATA is fine).

Any hints would be appreciated

Hi,

i have a similar problem:

i try to boot form the downloaded noppMythR5A16.iso and burnd CD, but nothing happend: booting for CD works on other CD's ( Knoppix) fine. but not from this cd.

any idears ?

P.S: i burned the cd with nero.

1) may be stupid, but I've seen it happen you did choose to burn image instead of just burning the .iso file to the cd right?

2) double check the md5sum to make sure you didn't get a corrupted image.

3) burn at a slower speed.

I assure you the image is bootable.

What parameters did you use for burning? When I try to burn an ISO using Nero, it puts up a dialog box in which you must specify some burn settings. I never bothered to look up the correct settings, so I just burn ISOs with cdrwin.

i did it again and now the cd boots.
