Post subject: | Frame Buffer Support Compiled in Kernel |
I have an SIS video card. Works great, get 33% idle on an AMD 850 with 2 pvr 250's (one new 980 one old). However when booting up with just the svideo or composit plugged in and no vga (or with vga but either one) the linux boot screen is all jarbled. I know i have to compile Winischhofer's frame buffer support into the kernel, but anytime i do that i break myth. Are there detail instructions on how to upgrade or recompile the kernel so i don't break myth and everything still works? |
