I'm using a little DVD player in place of the TV to experiment with getting TV Out to work with the PVR-350. It has composite inputs. I've been working from all of the documentation I've found here and in the Wiki, but I seem to have run up against something not yet covered, how to select composite output rather than s-video output. In documentation for previous versions of KnoppMyth, I find pages saying to set the select_output variable to 0 for composite. The problem is that select_output doesn't seem to be a valid option anymore, at least not for the saa7115 or ivtv_fb modules, which seem the most likely candidates. Can anyone give me more information about this or point me in the right direction? Thanks. |

I've made progress. I followed directions on the KnoppMythWiki which were posted yesterday, and now the splash screen for KnoppMyth R5A16 shows up on the TV screen, so obviously composite out is working. It turned out the last part I needed for the X11 to start working was I had the PCI address entered incorrectly. I discovered that by checking the XFree86.0.log file in /var/log. Now it seems to be working, finally, yay! |
