Post subject: | lirc - HELP!!!! |
i've read the HOW-TOs. i've searched the forum....i feel i'm making SOME progress, yet when i actually use the remote, nothing happens...when i run irw and Code: buffer: -BEGIN- buffer: -SEND_ONCE Hauppauge 3- buffer: -SUCCESS- buffer: -END- YET, i get the following: Code: root@mythtv:/etc/lirc# irsend --device=/dev/lircd SEND_ONCE Hauppauge-STB 3
buffer: -BEGIN- buffer: -SEND_ONCE Hauppauge-STB 3- buffer: -ERROR- irsend: command failed: SEND_ONCE hauppauge-stb 3 buffer: -DATA- buffer: -1- buffer: -unknown remote: "hauppauge-stb"- irsend: unknown remote: "hauppauge-stb" buffer: -END- i've downloaded the conf files. i think i have everything right....what am i missing??? oh, i'm on a PVR-150 using the hauppauge IR-blaster...the remote doesn't seem to be working at all, in mythTV or even command line (even though it says success). i'm really new at this (even though i got audio/video working in one night...thanks mostly to these boards!!!!) anyway, i don't even know if this post makes sense, i've been trying to get this remote working for 4+ hours and i'm lost! if you need any more info, please let me know! thanks!!! steve |

Make sure your 2nd instance of lirc has a .conf file with a the remote name matching "Hauppauge-STB". Per your example, irsend doesn't understand what codes to use as it doesn't have a .conf file with a remote name matching Hauppauge-STB. Not exactly knowing how things were tested, try replacing the irsend command line with "Hauppauge" instead of "hauppauge-stb". All this being said, I did not think that anyone had got the IR blaster built into the PVR150 card to work yet. I built a simple IR blaster with an IR LED/resistor/diode connected to the serial port using the following guide: http://losdos.dyndns.org:8080/public/my ... _LIRC.html If you do have success getting the built in IR blaster to work, please post your results. |
