Once, years ago, I lost ALL data on my HDD using lilo from MBR. Therefore, after that, allways linuxboot with botdiskette. Now, installing several knoppix/kanotix I could allways choose "make a bootdiskette" or something like that in the installprocess. I cannot find this possiblity installing knoppmyth, just "boot from MBR or partition". If I choose "from partition" how will I be able to boot my knoppmyth without a bootdiskette? How do I make one? If you install LILO to "the partition", general this means you have another boot manager on the MBR. |

Sorry, i didnt mention that I have windows xp installed on hda1 using the MBR, which I dont want to be overwritten. Thats why I need a bootfloppy. It is automatically created with knoppix and kanotix if I ask for it in the installprocedure. I just cant find this possibility(creating a bootfloppy to boot into knoppmyth on hda2) in knoppmyth installprocedure. hans |
