When attempting to reconfig my kernel (using KnoppMyth), I typed in:

make xconfig --> didn't work
make menuconfig --> didn't work
make config --> didn't work

With each option, I get the error message:

no rule to make '<whatever the command was>'. stop.

Any help would be appreciated!

did you extract the kernel source? and were you in the kernel source top level directory?
