I am frustrating quite a bit these days!
My problem is that I bought myself a 350 card thinking it was good quality and easy to set up in Linux. No such luck I am afraid. First I tried getting it up on Ubuntu, but all I get is a black screen. Now I installed KnoppMyth and I still get a black screen when I click watch tv. Basically I found out:
xawtv on ubuntu works, starts and can tune channels. But the xawtv window is black, no tv output. But when I have tuned a channel (S4 or someting) and I run mplayer /dev/video0 then I see the channel. So the card works, and xawtv can tune channels but myth does not. Why xawtv does not show me the tv picture is a mystery so far for me.
On knoppmyth I tried to just follow the standard setup and in the end after I set up everythin I want to scan for channels. But the scan for channels button is dimmed and not available for scanning. Why? mythfilldatabase is a bit blurry for me, how does that work? I cannot see it scanning/tuning my channels, just downloading tv guide xml data.
In knoppmyth xawtv does not work at all, but mplayer can play /dev/video0, but untuned, ergo snow snow..
Everytime I click watch tv in myth the screen goes black and then the backend stopps. The log file errors are:

What am I doing wrong? Why can't I get an image from my tv card? dmesg looks great, mlayer on the dev works, must I choose output on the card somehow?
Please help me!
