I'm trying to setup my mythtv box for hdtv ota. I'm totally lost. I have read every message about the topic here and still can not get my card to be found by mythtv setup.

It's a Kworld ATCS with analog tuner and ATSC tuner.

Here is the output from syslog.

Nov 30 23:53:44 mythtv kernel: saa7146: register extension 'budget_av'.

When I go into mythtv setup and setup a dvb card, it does not find a vaild card at #0 or any number. My primary concern is getting the atsc tuner working.

I don't see any record of the Kworld atsc tuner if you are talking about the Kworld ATSC 110? being supported in the dvb drivers. You may be lucky and it may have components that are already supported in other cards. lspci -vv and lscpi -nv might give you some info but you may have to ask over at the dvb-kernel list. With a little luck it's close enough to a fusion lite to work, but I don't know.

Good luck.

I'm in conversation with the v4l team. I'm looking at patching the existing driver and frontend to get this card working. Most of the support for the ATI HDTV card is there in the cx88 driver. These changes will need to be appied to the SAA7134 driver. Which will not be too difficult. Most of the code/information is there.

I'm going to need a couple of weeks to get it all coded. But we'll have another HDTV card that will work with mythtv.

I actually got the card to display video and sound with both composite and s-video inputs. Using antoher card definition.
