Post subject:  VFD with MythTV - HowTo

I have enabled LCD in mythfrontend. I have enabled all options.
But my VFD doesn't light up (even after a restart).

I've tried to start LCDd in command line and it did work. The VFD lighted up. (I can't remember what was written) and when I stopped it, it was written "Thank you for using LCDproc+Linux".

I think I'm not far to make it work, but I'm totally new to Linux and I have no idea what to do?

any help will be appreciated.

EDIT :
Gigabyte KT400 GA-7VAXP
ECP+EPP enabled in bios
Case : Ahanix D.Vine 4
KnoppMyth R5A22

EDIT2:
I have written a HowTo on KnoppmythWiki

Search the forum. Folks have mention VFD before, I cannot recall if they got it working or not. You can also check the MythTV archive.

I looked at the forum. I found one thread. But there are no details on how to make MythTV display its info on the VFD.

I will continue to investigate

I don't know what you're doing wrong, but searching the forums for "vfd" found 12 threads of which 4 actually say "VFD" in the subject line. If you try alternate keywords like LCD I'll bet you find even more.

A search on the MythTV mailing list http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/ as Cecil suggested shows: "Your search for vfd returned 196 results".

I wanted to say, I found one thread which can help me a little.
I didn't found anything interesting in other threads.
