Hello

Hardware
Motherboard: Asus P4V8X-X (VIA Chipset)
CPU: Intel Celeron 2800
RAM: 512
HD: 120 GB
TV CARD: WinTV-PVR 350
Sound Card: Soundblaster-Live

I have recently started with Linux and can’t quite figure out the below problem.
I have installed R5A26 (several times) done everything I’m suppose to do as stated on line. When I press show TV I get nothing except blank TV screen on both my TV and pc monitor. In the beginning I can see that my WinTV-PVR 350 is found.
It’s like there is no connection with my WinTV-PVR 350 card (I have installed Windows XP and everything works.)

I have read and read about all kinds of solutions but it’s all for other versions of MythTV.

Questions:
1: When I choose my card in MythTV does it then not mean that MythTV can see the card?
2: Should I edit in xf86Config-4 to make it work or what? (the demo file for PVR350 looks completely different)
3: Captur Card Setup: in Default input should I chooses Composit0 , Tuner0 or? And please explain why
4: Input Connection: what should I choose there and why?

It would be nice if someone had the ability and time to write a detailed manual that explains the choices of setting of MythTV so people would know what they are doing.

I am looking forward to be hearing from you.

Best regards
AAge Rasmussen

1. You can choose a card, however this doesn't mean MythTV can see (like selecting mjpeg instead of mpeg)...
2. There is no xf86config-4. You'd only need to edit it if you where trying to get TV out working on the 350 for instance...
3. Select which every one you have a live input on. For instance, if you have your coax from cable, select tuner0. If you have composite from say a VCR or camcorder, select composite.
4. Ahh... The MythTV docs.
