Howdy

I have IPTV (MTSTv, Winnipeg Canada). The setop box allows for 3 independent channel streams. Stream 1 is out from the set top via S-video (which I have hooked up the the amp in the living room). Streams 2 & 3 are via coax. The myth server is in the office and has a coax attached to the coax input on a Hauppauge 150.

Stream 1 is 'output-ed' to channel 4 (in addition to the S-video output), stream 2 is on channel 8 and stream 3 connected to channel 11.

Knoppmyth install went cleanly, but Tuner-0 defaults to channel 4 (i.e. stream 1 from the set top box). Need to change that to channel 8 (stream 2), can't quite figure it out.

In mythtv-setup, for capture card settings I have it setup for MPEG-2 encoder, and Input Connection:Tuner 0:External channel change command set to 8. Also, I've changed Preset tuner to channel to 8 as well.

Restart the server, and it defaults back to channel 4 (stream 1)

Clear as mud? Any thoughts?

well, I pulled a M$ and re-installed
during the initial mythtv-setup, changed all of the values for input connection to 8, and it's all good

now, for my next trick, let's see if I can set up the IR blaster ...
