This is the second KnoppMyth installation I've done. The first one was for grins-and-giggles on a Dell 2400. It worked, but immediately after the xterm finished with it's Q&A, the X-Window GUI window that came up had fonts so small, that only a nat could read. I figured the problem was with the crappy video card on on Dell. Well, I put together the following system recently: a7n8x-e deluxe, pvr-250mce, 80GB (on SI-SATA using a hacked manual install) Athlon 2500 XP, and 256MB of memory. R5A26 installation went beautiful, but right after the xterm Q&A, I got the same small X-Window GUI window with two rectangular frames at the bottom (with what appears to be text) and some very, very tiny text in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I looked around for some posts here, but I did not find anything for "small text" (is there a way to search for phrases). I looked on my system, in the '/etc/XF86Config*' files, for some hints, but even if I make a change there, I will have to kill the process running on the GUI screen and attempt to restart it. A couple of questions: 1) Where is the font setting for this initial GUI setup screen set up? 2) How do I re-start the initialization setup after fixing the font issue? Thanks. MJ |

search the forum for displaysize. to restart that setup you get to the desktop and hit alt+S or from an xterm mythtv-setup. |

Found better info at the KnoppixWiki site (http://www.knoppmythwiki.org). If you're installing and displaying to a CRT instead of a TV, these articles are a good source of information: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... re=content MJ |
