hey ive been having a bugger of a time trying to get this to work, after a fresh install of R5A26 the remote works but the buttons are mapped wrong. from my past experiances with linux and my previous failed attempts to get mandrake/mandriva to work with this remote i know it uses the lirc_i2c module so that would explain why the remote works but doesn't have the right mapping for buttons.

i have tried the auto config for remotes to no avail i get a message asking me to email the settings for my remote.

i have replaced the lircd.conf file in the etc/ and /etc/lirc/ directories with the one i found at lirc's website that do match my card.

irw responds exactly the same before and after i changed my lircd.conf settings

i have changed the lircrc.conf file also and that has had no effect on how myth tv responds to the remote

i know im probably missing a step in here, do i have to recompile lirc from scratch to get this to work properly if i do is there a good walk through for this.

Thanks in advance MIKE

Yeah, if it's responding but the button mappings are wrong, your lircd config files (/etc/lirc.conf and /etc/lircd/lircd.conf) are correct but your mapping file is wrong. The mapping file is ~./mythtv/.mythtv/lircrc I believe.
