I'm a newbie at this and I'm trying to install Knoppmyth without a tv tuner card. why you ask? Becuase my wife won't let me buy a card until she knows it will work. So I've tried installing, but I'm having problems, and before I get in the specifics of those. Can I install Knoppmyth without a tv tuner card, and still run the Mythtv program?

I built my system originally for MythMusic only. This immediately scored me big points on the WAF. It also makes for an easier installation/config if there is no TV card.

Six months later I bought a TV card, but MythMusic is still the primary tool we use. All 300 CDs neatly organized in original quality with digital out to the amp. It sure beats piles of old fashioned disks. My CD player is now stored in the basement with the record player.
